Base pay range $56,000.00/yr - $106,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from HCLTech Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer (Level 3) to join our Healthcare Technology team in Dallas, Texas. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex Cisco network infrastructure supporting critical healthcare operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with enterprise-grade Cisco technologies and a strong understanding of healthcare compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities: Network Infrastructure Management Design, configure, and maintain enterprise Cisco routing and switching infrastructure including Catalyst 9000 series switches, ISR and ASR routers Implement and manage Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) fabric solutions for data center operations Configure and optimize VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN solutions for branch connectivity Perform advanced troubleshooting of complex network issues using protocol analyzers and Cisco diagnostic tools Healthcare-Specific Network Operations Ensure network infrastructure meets HIPAA compliance requirements and healthcare industry standards Design and implement network segmentation for medical devices, EMR systems, and patient data protection Support mission-critical healthcare applications with 99.9% uptime requirements Coordinate network maintenance windows to minimize impact on patient care operations Implement and maintain network security policies for protected health information (PHI) SD-WAN and Cloud Connectivity Deploy and optimize Cisco Meraki SD-WAN solutions for multi-site healthcare network connectivity Configure VeloCloud orchestrator and edge devices for reliable branch office connectivity Implement dynamic path selection and application-aware routing for healthcare applications Monitor and optimize WAN performance for telemedicine and real-time patient monitoring systems Technical Leadership and Documentation Provide Level 3 escalation support for complex network issues Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical guidance Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures Participate in disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives Collaborate with security team on network vulnerability assessments and remediation Technical Skills Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related field 8+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco enterprise networking technologies Expert-level knowledge of Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, and NX-OS operating systems Proven experience with Cisco ACI fabric design, implementation, and troubleshooting Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki SD-WAN deployment and management Working knowledge of VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN platform Strong understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and switching technologies Experience with network automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible preferred) Certifications CCNP Enterprise or CCIE (preferred) Cisco Meraki certifications (CMNA, CMNO) VeloCloud/VMware SD-WAN certification (preferred) CISSP or healthcare IT security certification (plus) Professional Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to work in 24/7 healthcare environment with on-call responsibilities Project management experience with network infrastructure upgrades Vendor management experience with Cisco TAC and partner organizations Preferred Qualifications CCIE certification in Enterprise Infrastructure or Security Experience with Cisco DNA Center and network programmability Network monitoring tools experience (Solar Winds, PRTG, Cisco Dnac) 24/7 on-call rotation for critical network infrastructure support Occasional travel to branch healthcare facilities (10-15%) Standard business hours with emergency response availability Healthcare Industry Experience (optional) Understanding of HIPAA compliance requirements and healthcare data security Knowledge of medical device networking and FDA regulations Experience with healthcare applications and EMR system connectivity Disclaimer HCL is an equal opportunity employer, committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees regardless of race, religion, sex, color, age, national origin, pregnancy, sexual orientation, physical disability or genetic information, military or veteran status, or any other protected classification, in accordance with federal, state, and/or local law. Compensation and Benefits A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
