POSITION: Senior Inside Sales Representative

About the role:

The Senior Inside Sales Representative is a key driver of revenue and customer growth at Polymershapes. In this highly visible and strategic role, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to new and existing accounts—consulting on tailored plastic solutions and leading sales efforts to grow market share in your territory. You’ll leverage your deep experience in distribution and industrial sales to manage complex customer relationships and proactively identify growth opportunities.

You’ll represent an unmatched portfolio of high-performance plastics brands, backed by Polymershapes’ industry-leading service and fulfillment capabilities.

What you’ll do:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-value and strategic accounts, building long-term relationships rooted in trust, reliability, and value
  • Develop and execute sales strategies that align with territory goals, customer trends, and business growth objectives
  • Lead the full sales cycle: from consultative needs analysis to quoting, negotiation, and closing
  • Leverage your deep knowledge of industrial distribution and supply chain processes to solve complex customer challenges
  • Identify new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, existing account development, and industry networking
  • Partner with Outside Sales Reps to coordinate customer outreach and jointly grow shared accounts
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (sales and warehouse/operations) to ensure on-time delivery and a seamless customer experience
  • Analyze customer buying patterns, market trends, and competitor activity to make informed decisions and drive sales strategy
  • Act as a subject matter expert in product offerings, applications, and key verticals (industrial manufacturing, construction, transportation, etc.)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial distribution, preferably plastics or related materials
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and managing a complex book of business
  • Strong consultative selling skills with a customer-first approach
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
  • Advanced business acumen, with the ability to understand customer operations and supply chain dynamics
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter mindset with a high level of accountability and drive for results
  • Excellent computer skills (CRM, ERP, Microsoft Office)
  • Strong business writing and verbal communication skills
  • High level of honesty and integrity
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • (Preferred) BA or BS Degree (Business, Sales, Marketing, etc.) or substantial equivalent business experience
  • (Preferred) ­1 year or more of commercial experience
