Job Description
Our client, an insurance company located in Boston, is seeking a Copywriter to join their team for 6-12 months. This hybrid role will require 4 days onsite, allow for 1 day remote, and have hours from 9am-5pm. It is compensating $25-$30 an hour, depending on experience. Responsibilities: - Review and refine customer-facing communications such as policy notices, billing notices, and claims updates.
- Ensure all messages meet criteria for clarity, tone, accuracy, consistency, and timing.
- Provide editorial feedback and suggest rewrites when needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, claims, underwriting, and marketing.
- Help maintain a centralized messaging guide and flag outdated or redundant content.
Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience in copywriting, content strategy, or editorial work, preferably in a regulated industry.
- Strong knowledge of plain language principles and ability to simplify complex topics.
- Familiarity with personal auto and home insurance terminology and documents.
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience working independently and managing multiple projects.
- Ability to interpret and apply legal or regulatory guidelines.
