We are seeking a Locum Tenens Physician - Addiction Medicine in Michigan.

Locum Tenens Physician - Addiction Medicine

Position Type:

Shift: Days (flexible; 5 shifts/week, including weekends)
Start Date: 4/1/2025
End Date: Ongoing

Position Details:

• Patient Population: Adults (18+)
• Setting: Inpatient substance use disorder treatment; residential treatment
• Responsibilities:
  • Provide trauma-informed care for addiction treatment
  • Manage stable anxiety, affective, personality, and psychotic disorders
  • Supervise voluntary, non-restrained patients
• Required Procedures: Familiarity with pharmacotherapy and involuntary commitments
• EMR System: CDHR (training provided)
• Support Staff: 2 psychiatrists, 2 advanced practice providers, master-level social workers, and licensed counselors
• Days Per Month: Flexible schedule; 40-hour work weeks
• On-Call/Weekends: Weekend shifts required, provider can choose their 5-day schedule

Submission Requirements:

• Board Certified in Addiction Medicine or Preventive Medicine (FM or IM with Addiction Medicine BE accepted)
• Active MI license or IMLC ( REQUIRED )
• Clean background check ( REQUIRED )
• BLS certification ( REQUIRED )
• Local providers preferred
